CommentsI have visited the Ellerby Hotel twice, both at lunch time and I have enjoyed super meals on both occasions. The web site accurately reflects the hotel and I must say helps one to decide where to stay, it is my intention to spend a holiday in the area and I shall certainly attempt to stay at the Ellerby Hotel, indeed I have promised my wife we shall do so. This is a good web site.
CommentsI, along with works colleagues, have been coming to The Ellerby for some years now. Our annual festive pilgrimage is always made more special by the good food, friendly staff and comfortable environment. Hope to see you for some years to come !!
Comments"We have just returned from a stay at the ellerby and i feel that i must express how pleased i was with my stay!our room was fantastic. We had a lovely sofa in our room which was great just to sit down on and relax. My daughter had her own little room, and at 16, she felt was great as she had her own privacy!the food was amazing!i've never seen my daughters eat so well. Breakfast was fantastic!we didn't need anything else untill tea! and finally the staff were so lovely! we had the pleasure of looking around all the rooms and we got looked after so well! thankyou so much for our wonderful stay! we shall most definitly be returning!"
CommentsWhereas I concur with all of the comments posted on this notice board, and congratulate the management and staff for making our visits to the Ellerby most pleasurable, I have one point to make regarding the meals. We, (and others who have visited with us ) have found the rich gravy rather too thick and dark and especially when proffered with the lighter meats. Would it not be possible to have the option of a lighter gravy alongside the rich, for which I think there would be a considerable demand ? Alan Dennis, Middlesbrough.
CommentsWe ate at the hotel twice whilst on holiday (staying in nearby HINDERWELL, RECOMENDED BY OUR HOSTS)and found the meals beautiful. Our young daughter liked the children;s menu - "proper chicken and veggies" she commented. We found the staff very friendly and would certainly like to stay at the hotel in the near future. CommentsWhen we stay at Port Mulgrave we always visit the Ellerby Hotel for a meal in the restaurant the food is fantastic and very reasonable for the quality you are made to feel very welcome and relaxed We wish that we had The Ellerby Hotel in Derby we would be there every week Thankyou Martin and Geraldine Kirkland

CommentsApologies for the delay in providing our comments but it slipped our minds My wife and I stayed in one of the three superior rooms for a period of three nights as part of the 3 for 2 offer back in February of this year Everything was efficient from the initial meeting at reception throught to us leaving three days later Nothing was a problem to the staff and any request made was attended to immediately The room was amazing and very luxurious The food was out of this world We had dinner in the restaurant on all three nights and we tried something different each time without disappointment Fish meat pies curry everything was 100 per cent If the speciality potato side dish is available then you must try it crushed potatoes pepperoni and cream naughty but very moorish My only complaint that this perfect stay was over far too soon Check this gem of a location out as soon as possible Mr and Mrs Ware Birmingham
